The Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund on Friday said its members who are recently struck by the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses can borrow from its calamity loan program.
The Pag-IBIG chief said members can borrow up to 80% of their total savings, which consist of their and employers’ contributions as well as accumulated dividends. The calamity loan has an interest rate of 5.95% per annum and is payable over a period of 24 months with three months grace period. Moti said members who have contributed to the fund for at least 24 months are eligible to avail the loan. “On the average, ang mahihiram ay around P20,000 kasi hanggang 80% ng total na naihulog ng mga miyembro,” he said.
Interested members are encouraged to apply online through Pag-IBIG Fund’s website.
