Singer Christopher Cross ‘temporarily paralyzed, unable to walk’ after COVID-19 fight

April 20 ------ Christopher Cross continues his recovery after fighting the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), revealing that his legs are temporarily paralyzed. He confirmed earlier this April that he tested positive for the virus. Cross gave an update of his battle with the infectious disease on Facebook on April 17, stating, “I had become very ill but fortunately I did not develop respiratory complications.” “After being sick for weeks I slowly started to recover; unfortunately as a consequence of COVID-19 other problems were caused,” he said. “At present I am suffering from intense muscle weakness and a temporary paralysis of my legs — I am unable to walk.” “However, physicians have assured me that I will recover. I have already begun physical therapy and am optimistic about improving,” he declared. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter will push through with his 40th anniversary tour in July. He is known for his 1980s hits such as “Sailing”, “Ride Like the Wind” and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do)”. Source: entertainment.inquirer.net
