March 5 ------ Five-member Pinoy band SB19 has entered the Billboard charts again, placing 10th on Social 50, 12th on Next Big Sound, and 49th on Emerging Artists.
According to Next Big Sound, the Social 50 chart “is about absolute popularity,” wherein “aggregate Friends/Fans/Followers make up (on average) 60% of the chart’s overall points with Views/Plays accounting for 30%, and Reactions 10%.”
The Next Big Sound Chart pertains to “the fastest accelerating artists across the Internet. Rather than measuring absolute popularity, the NBS Chart shows the artists statistically most likely to become the next big sound. It has very little to do with popularity and just about everything to do with recent performance relative to that popularity.”
Next Big Sound licenses Next Big Sound and Social 50 charts to Billboard, according to its website. SB19, composed of Sejun, Stell, Josh, Ken and Justin, made their debut in 2018 with the song “Tilaluha.” Last December, they released their third single “Alab.” They are set to hold their SB19 x A’TIN 1st Fan Meeting on March 28 at Newport Performing Arts Theater.
