RR Pogoy's targeted TNT return pushed back to January 14 game vs Phoenix

January 6 ------ ROGER Pogoy continues to work on his conditioning even as he missed the initial target for his return to court action. TNT coach Jojo Lastimosa said they have pushed back the targeted return of Pogoy to January 14, the final day of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup eliminations where they will face Phoenix Super LPG. “Roger needs to get in better shape and build more leg strength. The Phoenix game is the target,” said Lastimosa.

The initial target for Pogoy was a Christmas Day return against Barangay Ginebra although TNT was in no rush to get their Gilas Pilipinas standout back on the court following a myocarditis diagnosis. Pogoy didn’t play in the game where TNT was already without Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and the Tropang Giga lost to Ginebra, 86-78.

Pogoy has been doing physical activities in preparation for his return as he hasn’t seen court action since the Fiba Basketball World Cup.
