March 15 ------ Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach reminded herself and her followers the importance of knowing “when to peak and pull back” after she had to leave early at this year’s Paris Fashion Week (PFW) due to other commitments.
The beauty queen shared a video highlighting her work moments and explaining the reason why she couldn’t finish the whole week attending the event. “Sad to leave so soon but we have to go. I have some commitments in Manila that I really have to go back to and also some personal errands that cannot wait. My adrenaline is still there. I wish we could have stayed longer. We’re not used to going home this early,” she said.
Wurtzbach assured herself that exiting the work event so early is just okay, sharing the career advice she got from the people she admires. “Even though we feel like we’re missing out because we’re not finishing the whole week. I’m really trusting the advice I got. It’s career advice I got from people that I respect. Nagtitiwala lang talaga ako ito ‘yung know when to peak. You should know when to pull back and then when to push forward so balance is key,” she explained.
Amid staying at Paris for a short time, the actress-beauty queen also shared that she had to make a detour in Rome after getting invited to the office of the creative director of luxury brand Bulgari. Wurtzbach gave a glimpse of her visit to Rome as well as the work event she briefly attended in Manila before reuniting with her husband, Jeremy Jauncey, in Dubai. “I know I’ll feel much better when I see Jeremy. I just need to go home. I need to be with him. I need to see him. I need to give him a hug. I need to update him on everything,” she said as the video ended with her receiving a hug from her spouse.
Wurtzbach is set to serve as a speaker at She Talks Asia summit on March 15 as part of the celebration of the 2025 International Women’s Month.
