April 30 ------ THE PBA will give away free tickets in its May 1 playdate to Filipino workers in celebration of Labor Day. The league announced its latest promo called PBA Mayo Uno: Pasasalamat sa Mangagawang Pilipino as a way to thank the labor workforce for their contribution to the country. The free tickets are on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The games on the holiday playdate on Wednesday will see Blackwater taking on San Miguel in the first game at 4:30 p.m., and TNT going up against Converge in the second game at 7:30 p.m. at the Philsports Arena. In order to avail the free tickets, the PBA said the fan must show a company ID or similar proof of employment. The free admission also extends to the worker’s family.
It is the second time that the PBA is giving away free tickets to fans. Last April 10, the PBA handed out free tickets to the first 100 fans in celebration of the league’s 44th year anniversary who either wore a team jersey, showed a selfie/groufie photo with a PBA player, brought a PBA memorabilia, or showed a Facebook post of the fan playing basketball, watching a PBA game, or holding a basketball last April 9 with the hashtag #HappyBirthdayPBA.
