MANILA, Philippines, February 25 ------ Concerns over potential supply disruptions are set to trigger another round of fuel price hikes today. In separate advisories, Shell, Caltex and Seaoil announced a per-liter upward adjustment of P0.70 for gasoline, P0.40 for diesel and P0.20 for kerosene.
Petro Gazz, Cleanfuel, PTT Philippines and Jetti would apply the same adjustments, except for kerosene, which they do not offer. The latest adjustment, which marks the second straight week of hikes, brings the year-to-date net rise in gasoline and diesel prices to P4.75 per liter and in kerosene costs to P2.90 per liter.
The Department of Energy attributed the increase to the threats of possible supply disruptions in the global oil market following Ukrainian drone attacks on a Russian pumping station.
