NLEX rushing to bring in new import in time for final playoff push

January 10 ------ NLEX will try to salvage its PBA Commissioner's Cup campaign no matter what it takes. The Road Warriors are hoping to bring in a new import in DeAndre Williams Baldwin to play in their remaining two games in the eliminations in the hope of clinching the last berth in the quarterfinals.

A fresh graduate out of Evansville and Memphis, Baldwin will take over the place of Stokley Chaffee Jr and is set to make his debut against Converge on Wednesday pending a Letter of Clearance. SPIN.ph learned Chaffee, who averaged 22.8 points, 13.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.0 blocks in the five games he played for the Road Warriors, already left the country shortly after the team's last game against Blackwater - a 104-97 win - last Dec. 22.

NLEX is currently at ninth place with a 3-6 record, just a game behind TNT, which occupies the eighth spot with a 4-6 slate. Williams Baldwin averaged 17.6 points, 8.1 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.4 steals in his senior year at Memphis. NLEX's final game will be against defending champion Barangay Ginebra at Ibalong Centrum for Recreation in Legazpi City.
