Miss Universe Philippines calls for 'bayanihan vote' for Chelsea Manalo's Voice for Change

November 5 ------ The Miss Universe Philippines organization is campaigning for votes from Filipino pageant fans and supporters as they seek to snag a win for 2024 Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo.

In one of the more recent posts on its official Instagram account, the Miss Universe Philippines organization called for a "bayanihan vote" for Chelsea's Voice for Change video, which presents a “timely and essential” advocacy for the families and children of migrant workers. In the caption to the post, the organization revealed that Chelsea's video is currently in 12th place but sustained voting from Filipino supporters could propel it to first place. Kapuso beauty queen Michelle Dee had previously won the Voice for Change competition with her work advocating for autism awareness and the Autism Society of the Philippines' (ASP) Autism Works program.

This is the second time that the Miss Universe Philippines organization has campaigned for Chelsea's Voice for Change video, having put out an earlier call for votes last week.

Chelsea just recently arrived in Mexico for the Miss Universe pageant, after spending time in Los Angeles for training and meeting with members of the Filipino-American community in Los Angeles. Before her departure, Chelsea made an appearance at the MEGA Fashion Awards awards last month, where she wore a black and white ensemble from designer Rap Soligam and was described as a muse to creative artists. Chelsea was also the July cover star for MEGA magazine, with the publication describing Chelsea as opening up “the horizon for a more inclusive definition of beauty upon winning the crown.”
