March 10 ------ Michelle Dee’s debut single, “Reyna,” is an empowering song released two years after her reign as Miss Universe Philippines 2023. In Aubrey Carampel’s report on “24 Oras" Friday, Michelle shared that the song fits her and her story, but at the same time, others can also resonate with it. “Hopefully, a lot of people feel empowered. And ultimately, sana people just have a great time and enjoy, you know, what they’ve accomplished and who they can be,” she said.
Michelle was also involved in the creative process of making the single and its upcoming music video. “I’m so grateful that GMA and Sparkle, of course and ABS-CBN music, really allowed me to, you know, share my creative inputs also, share what I know what resonate to my audience or my family, which are also my fans,” she said.
According to the Sparkle star, it has been a fun, creative journey. “I do have a lot of inputs on how I execute my vision and that creative storytelling kaya I’m just happy that we’re all just playing on our strengths,” she said. “Reyna” is released under GMA Music and Star Music, the companies’ first collaboration. It is composed by Angelica Tagadtad, arranged and mixed by Theo Martel, vocal arrangement by Jonathan Manalo, and produced by Manalo and Rox Santos. The Sparkle star is currently part of the cast of “Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan” as Apong Ayo, the protector of the ugtaw.
