Maymay Entrata declares she’s ‘married’ to herself, thankful for Grammys visit

November 5 ------ Maymay Entrata while donning a wedding gown-inspired dress adorned with white pigeons at the Opulence Ball — declared that she’s happily married to herself and she’s on a path toward self-love.

Describing her Neric Beltran gown at the Opulence Ball on Thursday, October 31, Entrata told reporters that she sees 2024 as the year she decided to love herself more. “I told Neric Beltran and my team that I felt like I got married to myself this year. I finally realized and understood how important it is to prioritize one’s self,” she said.

The actress-singer — who said she’s happily single — said it took time for her to fully understand what self-love meant, especially since she’s one to give so much of herself when it comes to love. “When you love, you get empty, right? That’s when I realized that you have to love yourself first before loving someone else. I didn’t arrive at this point on my own. I also arrived at this point because of God. If you can remember, I was baptized last April, so that’s where it started. I’m still in the process, but at least, I can pull through,” she said.

The “Pinoy Big Brother” alum was then asked about her appearance at the Recording Academy’s “It Goes to 11” series last October, to which she admitted, that she was almost on the verge of tears at the time. “I was invited by the Recording Academy to be part of it. As I was entering its headquarters, I felt like crying. I was already controlling my tears at the time. It’s rare to have this kind of opportunity, so why not take advantage of it?” she said. Apart from Entrata, several Filipino artists appeared on the Recording Academy’s platforms including SB19’s Josh Cullen and Felip (or Ken) for its “Global Spin” series. Entrata recently made headlines after gracing the fashion show of Vietnamese designer Phan Huy’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection on Paris Fashion Week in September 2024.
