Kris Aquino says she is still 'not fit to work' and underweight

February 24 ------ Amid growing speculation about her possible return to television, Kris Aquino, known as the "Queen of All Media," has clarified that she is still not physically ready to resume work due to ongoing health challenges. 

On Saturday, Aquino took to Instagram to share an update on her condition. She posted a photo of herself in bed, surrounded by visitors including Kim Chiu, Miles Ocampo, Darla Sauler, and doctors Rainier Tanalgo and Hazel David. In her caption, Aquino addressed her supporters, saying, "I haven't posted anything because I didn't want all those praying for me to feel sad & lose the faith. May I clarify? I'm not yet "fit to work" because I'm very underweight 37 kilos/82 pounds. 

She explained that her doctors have set specific health targets before she can consider resuming professional commitments. "My deal with my team of doctors (Dr. Jombi, Dr Jonnel, @drkatcee who is now mourning the loss of her father, and Dr. Rainier) is that my WBC doesn't fall below 5.5 for 4 straight weeks, my hemoglobin improves to at least a 9.5 (my anemia is both hereditary and nutritional); and my weight holds steady at 90 pounds/40.8 kilos," she wrote. 

Aquino went on to enumerate her diagnosed autoimmune diseases, including Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, EGPA (a rare and life-threatening form of Vasculitis), Systemic Sclerosis, Lupus/SLE, and Rheumatoid Arthritis. She also revealed new additions to her list of conditions namely Fibromyalgia, Polymyositis, and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease. 

Despite her struggles, Aquino maintained her trademark humor, sharing how her son Bimby jokingly compared her condition to that of an "X-Men mutant." She also noted how those close to her often jest about the growing list of her illnesses. In addition to addressing her medical status, Aquino confirmed that she has been single for some time. " I've always been honest with all of you, for some time now i have been single, no boyfriend so clearly no fiancé. I never gave details while we were a couple so it makes no sense to elaborate now," she wrote. Aquino concluded her post thanking her supporters for their love and concern and used the hashtags #hindisusuko and #tuloyangLABAN.
