April 29 ------ Kris Aquino opened up about her hopes for her son Bimby’s academic journey. In an interview with Ogie Diaz, the television host revealed that one of her greatest dreams for Bimby, who recently turned 18 years old, is to pursue his college education abroad. "I really want him to have what I did not have, that was my dream," she said. "Parang iniisip ko talaga parati ano kaya naging trajectory ng buhay ko kung talahgang nag-aral ako abroad so I want him to experince that."

Kris hopes for Bimby to explore studying in places like Singapore and Japan. She also reflected on how blessed Bimby has been from a young age. "Parang sinabi ko sa kanya you were born so blessed kasi one your mama was already in a position to make demands na may cut-off, may separate dressing room para may kasama ka and all. And then he was 4 months old when he did his first commercial... Marunong siya sa pera niya talaga," she said.

Beyond academics, Kris emphasized that she wants Bimby to serve as an inspiration to others. "I want Bimb to be an inspiration for other kids. Normally kasi ang nag-aalaga nanay sa anak, na-reverse na ngayon talaga." Bimby has been taking care of Kris who is currently battling autoimmune conditions.

In the same interview, Bimby relayed that he plans to pursue a degree in Legal Management when he enters college. "Legal management. Magiging lawyer na ako. Imagine mo, Atty. Bimb. Diverse eh. Let’s be honest, sa business, sa politics, and showbiz also,” he relayed. When asked if he sees himself entering politics in the future, Bimby said he is keeping the option open. "It’s always an option kasi sabi ni lola, my mom said, 'Everyone in the family who entered politics, it is a calling.' It’s not an easy job but it’s a job that can help so many people."

Bimby also shared that showbiz will be taking a back seat at the moment as he needs to take care of his mom. "Mom's worth it eh, to take care of her. It's really worth it talaga and it's not boring at all. And alam mo naman si mama, never a dull moment with mama eh. Pero thank you po talaga for waiting for me to enter sa showbiz pero in time," he relayed.
