September 10 ------ Kokoy De Santos is hailed as the "Running Man Philippines" Season 2 ultimate runner! The actor won of the name tag ripping battle, where he faced Buboy Villar as his final opponent.
Kokoy eliminated Miguel Tanfelix first, then Ruru Madrid. As Buboy eliminated Glaiza De Castro, Kokoy was quick to remove Angel Guardian’s name tag, ending her reign. With Kokoy and Buboy as the last players standing, the two runners went head to head to rip each other’s name tags. In the end, Kokoy successfully ripped Buboy’s name tag and sealed his victory.
In a social media post, the newest ultimate runner thanked the show, his fellow runners, his family, and everyone who believed in him. “Maraming Salamat sa inyong lahat na nagtiwala sa akin, na kaya ko. Noong simula palang.. may mga bagay na tumatakbo sa utak ko na kung bakit ako parte ng napakalaking proyekto na ito. Pero nandiyan kayo para palaging ipaaalala sa akin. Na kaya ko. At ito. Para sa inyo ito.. Pamilya ko, mga Tropa ko at sa mga Kolokoys ko,” Kokoy wrote. “Sa lahat ng bumubuo ng ‘Running Man Philippines’, sa mga runners ko, mahal ko kayo. Hanggang sa muli.. Tatakbo tayo ulit,” he added.
The theme for "Running Man Philippines" Season 2's finale race is "Runners in Borderland," a reference to the hit Netflix series "Alice in Borderland."
Angel Guardian was the Ultimate Runner during the first season.
