May 20 ------ Take this, haters. Kim Chiu is rising above the bashing she received online by releasing a full version of “Bawal Lumabas: The Classroom Song.” The viral song was inspired by Kim‘s rather incoherent statement during a “Laban Kapamilya” stream on social media. Featuring some of ABS-CBNs biggest talents, the stream was an effort to express their dismay over the networks failed franchise renewal.
On May 5, ABS-CBN went off-air after the National Telecommunications Commission issued a Ceased and Desist Order against the media network. As of May 19, a bill granting the network a provisional franchise is still pending for approval by the members of the House of Representatives. In her vlog, Kim admitted she refrained using social media following for awhile following the harsh criticisms she got. Her viral statement goes: “Sa classroom may batas, bawal lumabas, oh bawal lumabas.
Admitting she herself finds the statement funny, she nevertheless didn’t expect the amount of hate she would receive. But being the bungingis lady she is, Kim has turnes the negatives comments into positive. In fact, she’s thankful for the attention she received.
But oh well, past is past. It’s done and now nandito na tayo ngayon into another chapter and I want to make negative things into positive kasi ang dami na ring malungkot na tao ngayon so dahil sa ‘Bawal Lumabas’ natawa sila.”
Kim also got the chance to talk to Adrian Crisanto who penned an open letter for the actress on Facebook. DJ Squammy, the person who rendered the beat and melody l to Kim’s statement, is also featured in her video. Kim thanked both Adrian and DJ Squammy for their posts and work, saying they helped her overcome the negativity.
