MANILA, September 25 ------ Kapamilya actress and TV host Kim Chiu is off to South Korea to attend the 2024 Seoul Drama Awards (SDAs). Based on fan votes, Kim will be receiving the Outstanding Asian Star Award from the Philippines, alongside other celebrities from other Asian countries.
"Excited, of course, kasi fan ako ng mga Korean dramas, and pinanood ko sa YouTube kung ano ang mangyayari diyan sa Seoul Drama Awards. So excited ako maka-meet ng mga Korean stars more than the award. Joke lang!" says Kim.
Her legion of fans are already guessing her purple carpet look for the SDAs, and Chiu hinted there will be a touch of Filipino in her outfit. "Siyempre magre-represent tayo ng Filipino outfit, kasi iba-ibang countries, so meron tayong Filipino touch," she said.
Earlier today, Chiu was touched by the efforts of her Kim Chiu Global Fans who organized an LED billboard display of her in Seoul, ahead of her arrival. "Very grateful na may mga supporters talaga ako na super 'yung suporta nila," she said.
