February 25 ------ Katrina Halili guested on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" where she was asked about the current state of her heart. According to the Kapuso star, she is inspired. “Inspired lang ako,” Katrina answered without going into detail. “Masaya. Masaya lang.”
Asked by Tito Boy if she's choosing to be quiet about it, she replied in the affirmative. "Yes. Ayun na nga Tito Boy, masaya," she said . Katrina's answer came a year after her boyfriend, former Wao, Lanao Del Sur Vice Mayor Jeremy Guiab, passed away due to a heart attack.
During the interview, Katrina also shared the lessons she would like to impart on her daughter, Katie, about love. “Love yourself muna. ‘Yun 'yung una kong ituturo sa kaniya,” she said. Per Katrina, she doesn’t want Katie to experience looking for love in the wrong place or people. “Kasi nga po feeling ko, wala akong sinabi, baka magalit mama ko. Feeling ko lang, hindi ako love [ng nanay ko] pero love ako ng nanay ko by actions, hindi salita 'di ba po. Feeling ko, so hinanap ko ‘yung love sa labas, so ayaw kong ganoon ang maramdaman ng anak ko. Kailangan sa akin niya maramdaman ‘yung love, hindi niya hahanapin kung kani-kanino,” she explained.
When it comes to men, Katrina wants her daughter to always remember and prioritize herself. "'Pag mahal mo sarili mo and nirerespeto mo 'yung sarili mo, OK naman ‘yung pupuntahan mo eh,” Katrina said. When asked by Tito Boy whether she would choose karera or pag-ibig, the actress chose both. Katie is Katrina’s daughter with her ex-boyfriend, Kris Lawrence. She said that she and the singer have a co-parenting setup.
