February 27 ------ Julie Anne San Jose is among the stars who will be part of GMA Network's first Viu Original, “Slay." But what made Julie Anne say yes to the project? “It's my first time, really, doing this kind of genre. Nung narinig ko na murder mystery 'yung story ng ‘Slay,’ na-curious ako syempre kasi ang tagal ko nang hindi umaarte. My last one was ‘Maria Clara at Ibarra’ pa,” the Sparkle star said.
Moreover, she wants to maximize her capabilities when it comes to acting. “I also want to explore. I want to discover myself more. Kung anong pa 'yung pwede kong ma-i-offer pagdating sa larangan ng pag-arte,” she added.
According to Julie Anne, this is her first time to play this kind of role. “Ako kasi personally talagang na-i-enjoy ko whenever I get these roles. First time ko magkaroon ng ganitong klaseng role,” the actress-singer shared. When it comes to her co-stars, the Asia’s Limitless Star shared that she's happy to work with talented and passionate actors in such a good show. “I also love that I get to work with these very, very talented and passionate actors. Talagang nakaka-overwhelm pero alam mo ang sarap sa pakiramdam because I know that we are creating something that's really, really good.”
Julie Anne will play the character of Liv in the series, who becomes the girlfriend of Zach (Derrick Monasterio) before he gets murdered. She becomes one of the suspects alongside Amelie (Gabbi Garcia), Sugar (Mikee Quintos), and Yana (Ysabel Ortega). Aside from the main cast, Royce Cabrera and Jay Ortega are also part of the series.
