December 14 ------ Kapamilya star Julia Montes has faced numerous challenges during her formative years. Despite the difficulties she encountered, which included personal struggles and overcoming obstacles, Julia's resilience and determination have driven her to transform her life for the better. Her journey is a testament to her strength and perseverance, showcasing how she has navigated through adversity to achieve success in her career and personal life.
Julia, 29, attributes her better quality of life to the unwavering faith she has cultivated over the years. She feels that this strong belief has guided her through challenging times. "Faith talaga. Whenever I feel depressed, imbes na maghahanap ako ng mga kasama para mag party, pupunta ako sa adoration chapel and cry," said Julia when she discussed about her faith during an interview on her latest series "Saving Grace" at the ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City recently. Julia added: "Feeling ko kasi the Lord will not judge me. Wala akong kailangang i-please. Minsan may pinagdadaanan ka talaga but wait for God's perfect time. Ibibigay sayo yung sagot and ibibigay sa'yo yung kalma and happiness a deserve ng bawa't isa," Julia said.
Julia passionately urged the young people to cultivate a strong and unwavering faith, emphasizing the importance of belief in themselves and their values. She shared personal stories and experiences, illustrating how faith can guide them through life's challenges and uncertainties. By fostering a deep connection with their beliefs, she hoped to inspire them to pursue their dreams with confidence and resilience. "All of us are looking for that validation or love from other people. But sometimes, it can also put you in a situation na hindi maganda. Sometimes, they can help but not every time magiging good decision yun. "Hindi naman lahat ay blessed with a good company. Kasi you're seeking for something tapos doon mo sa kanila makukuha.
Julia believes that "Saving Grace" is her most emotionally challenging project. It was the last project approved for the actress by the late Deo Endrinal from Dreamscape Entertainment. "My role is emotionally challenging, especially in controlling your emotions. For me this is the hardest role to date na nagawa ko kasi ang hirap i-tackle ng mother's love. Kaya gustong-gusto ko yung role ko rito," said Julia, who plays a Teacher Anna in the series.
Julia said that being in the series reminds her of her childhood memories with her grandmother, who took care of her family. "Parang nangyari sa akin yun because growing up (with my lola), hindi ko pa kilala si papa before. So yung lola ko hindi naman niya kinuwento yung buong buhay ng mom and dad ko. Iba yung kwento nila sa akin so nag-iba yung tingin ko. "I realized na may mga bagay na they were just protecting you. So now alam ko na ang tunay na kwento. There was pain because may revelation. "Hindi naman ako pwedeng malunod sa pain because my lola stood as my father figure. Kasi di ba twice the mother ang grandmothers love? Sa akin yun ang nanaig. "I try to look for positivity.
After Saving Grace, I pray for the positive side na sana nakita ko when I was a child. Maraming tao ang may pinagdaraanan so sana makita nila yung positive sign after the storm," Julia said.
Julia stated that nothing compares to a mother's love and encouraged young people to cherish their moms while they are still present. They are selfless, and they are the epitome of sacrifice. You cannot define a mother's love with one scenario or isang happy moment. Deaf and mute si mama so struggling talaga siya sa emotional side for her. Iba ang mundo niya so parang sabay kami lumalaki.
