March 5 ------ Jaclyn Jose was among the late stars whose lives were remembered by the prestigious Oscars on its 2024-2025 In Memoriam. The Filipino actress is on the list published on the award-giving body’s website, along with late Hollywood personalities Gene Hackman, Maggie Smith and Gena Rowlands, among many others.
Michelle Trachtenberg, Shannen Doherty and Olivia Hussey, who were left out of the In Memorian segment during the Oscars show, were also included in the website list. “The Academy honors friends and colleagues we lost over the last year. Take a moment to remember the artists and filmmakers we lost in 2024-2025,” the caption reads.
Andi Eigenmann, daughter of Jose, showed the portrait of her mom featured in Oscars’ In Memoriam, via her Instagram Stories on Monday, March 3. “My Nanay is among other Hollywood artists and filmmakers who are remembered by The Academy this year,” Eigenmann said.
The tribute to the late actress also incidentally came in the wake of her first death anniversary. Aside from Eigenmann, who earlier got herself inked with a palm leaf dedicated to Jose, the actress’ ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito and their daughter Ellie also remembered the late screen veteran.
