IMMAJ, PJMCC lead the luncheon for the Versileas Class of 2023


Following the graduation ceremony of the Versileas Class of 2023 at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) on May 26, 2023, a celebratory luncheon was hosted by the IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation, Inc. at the Mess Hall of the Capt. Gregorio S. Oca Bldg., MAAP Campus, Mariveles, Bataan.

The event commenced with the introduction of the guests and sponsors in attendance. Notable attendees included Mr. Toshihito Inoue, International Mariners Management Association of Japan (IMMAJ) Chairman; Shunsuke Imada, IMMAJ Director; Mr. Ryoichi Ikeda, IMMAJ Secretary General; Capt. Genichi Osaka, IMMAJ Chief Representative; CE Masataka Fukuta, IMMAJ Representative; and Capt. Emmanuel L. Rogio, President of Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council, Inc. (PJMCC) and the IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation Inc.

Captain Gerry T. Chan expressed his gratitude towards the parents and family members in attendance, acknowledging their significant contribution to the graduates' success. He then introduced the speakers, beginning with Capt. Emmanuel L. Regio, who delivered a brief message on behalf of PJMCC, congratulating the graduates and wishing them a bright future in the maritime industry. He also expressed his appreciation for the support of the IMMAJ and PJMCC. Mr. Toshihito Inoue, representing IMMAJ, also expressed his gratitude towards the parents and family members for their support throughout the graduates' journey. He encouraged the graduates to persevere through the challenges they may face in the future.

Cumlaude Midshipmen Steven Primax C. Sabillano (Leonis Navigation Company, Inc.) and Joseph Vincent T. Comboy (NS United Marine Philippines, Inc.) delivered the closing remarks, expressing their heartfelt gratitude to their parents, sponsors and supporters who have been with them for over four years. The event concluded with a photo opportunity, with the sponsors joining in to commemorate the occasion, marking the end of the luncheon ceremony for the IMMAJ, PJMCC scholars from the first batch of the Versileas Class of 2023.
