IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation Resumes Delivery of IMO Model Course 6.09 Training of Instructors


After two (2) years of suspension due to the ongoing pandemic, the IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation resumed face-to-face delivery of IMO Model Course 6.09 (Training for Instructors). To ensure minimum health standards are followed, number of students per class have been limited to up to 50% of maximum class intake.


For this batch, five (5) participants from PJMCC member-manning agencies and the IMMAJ-PJMCC Foundation, completed the Course from 28 March to 08 April 2022.


The 10-day course was held at the IMMAJ-PJMCC Training Center, JSU-AMOSUP Mariner’s Home 1765 Vasquez St. corner Nakpil Sts., Malate, Manila, was facilitated by Ms. Ana Maria Jasmin M. Sampedro and with Mr. Wenifredo G. Sola as assessor. This Training Course aims to upskill participants on how to plan, prepare and carry out effective mode of teaching; determine appropriate methods / approaches of instructions and selection of teaching materials.


A simple graduation ceremony was held last 08 April 2022. Capt. Gerry T. Chan, Training Coordinator for Deck, congratulated the graduates. During the ceremony, CE Roel D. San Juan, (who is also the Training Coordinator for Engine of the Foundation), was recognized for his exemplary performance during the Final Practice Teaching activity of the course. Certificates of Attendance were also awarded to the graduates.
