February 13 ------ Motherhood becomes Kylie Padilla. Her exciting journey as a mother of two wonderful sons, Alas and Axl, has transformed her outlook on life for the better. Fulfilling her mommy duties is her top priority as a parent. She ensures that Alas and Axl get the love and care they need while raising them. Kylie doesn’t mind waking up early for her kids. “I either cook or eat breakfast with them. Then I bathe, dress and take them to school,” she shares. This supermom enjoys the best of both worlds as a mother and actress. And if these major roles are not enough in her haywire schedule, Kylie still finds time to hone her athletic skills in martial arts, wushu and gymnastics, among others.
She believes that leading an active lifestyle entails taking care of her body to look better and feel healthier. As someone under the spotlight, the public expects stars to always shine bright. The celebrity mom even set up a gym at home so she can work out anytime, but her lack of focus to keep herself fit remains a challenge. Kylie admits, “For a long time, I mistakenly equated working out with losing weight. I even tried to replicate the unhealthy dieting behaviors of my younger years, which are no longer healthy for me. My body is not the same anymore.” Kylie realized she needed to hit the gym seriously when she suddenly injured her shoulder while trying to carry her youngest son during family travel. She considers this incident as an indicator that it was time to keep her body fit and healthy. With a firm resolve, Kylie sought the help of Kinetix Lab, the premier strength and conditioning training gym in the Philippines, to achieve wellness for the sake of her children and herself.
These days you can see Kylie working out under the gym’s Fit & Fierce Training Program, which is specifically designed for women who want to lose fat and increase their muscles. She enjoys every training session while being assisted by a reliable coach, who ensures Kylie is on the road to fitness. She explains, “I love it because I can be myself. I’m not pretending that I’m a martial artist, that I’m good. I really lowered all of my ego. I don’t need to pretend that I can do this immediately.” She adds, “It’s incredibly empowering. The Fit & Fierce Program is tailored according to my fitness goal this year. For me, it’s about working at my own pace. This is so important to me, as a mom of two.” Kinetix Lab is easily accessible, with branches at U.P. Town Center, The Podium Mall, and One Ayala Mall, so keeping herself on top form is within Kylie’s reach.
Kylie’s fitness journey has started and her fierce desire to regain complete strength keeps her motivated. Aside from being a busy mom, Kylie must be healthy and strong as an actress. She stays up late during tapings and shootings. She also requires physical strength when performing daring and action scenes. “Women are often recognized for their emotional strength, but physical strength brings a different kind of self-esteem. When I feel physically capable and see how it translates into everyday life, like being able to carry my kids easily and stay active with them, I truly appreciate my strength,” Kylie shares.
