April 6 ------ Heart Evangelista and Rachel Alejandro have secured their spots in the 100 Most Influential Filipinos in the world, a list put together by The Outstanding Filipinos in America (TOFA). The organization recently announced this year’s honorees on its official Facebook page, noting that the list is in no particular order as it aims to celebrate each individual for their “unique contributions and outstanding impact.” The list is made up of industry leaders, artists, and advocates who have made significant impacts in their respective crafts both in local and global scenes.
Evangelista was recognized for her influential work in Fashion Week events in Paris, Milan, and New York, where she has consistently landed top celebrity rankings for generating a promising media impact value (MIV).
Alejandro, on the other hand, was honored for her work in music, film and theater, highlighting her recent win at the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF), where she took home the Best Supporting Actress for her performance in “Song of Fireflies.” The singer-actress celebrated the recognition on her Instagram page as she thanked the organization and congratulated her fellow awardees.
Evangelista and Alejandro are joined by “The Voice USA” Season 26 grand champion Sofronio Vasquez, singer Christian Bautista, Filipino prelate Luis Antonio G. Cardinal Tagle, and “X-Factor UK” alum Seann Miley Moore. Also in the list are Tony award-winning designer Clint Ramos, motorsport star Bianca Bustamante, Emmy award-winning filmmaker Michele Josue, Los Angeles-based chef Lord Maynard Llera, and content creator and Webby People’s Voice award winner, content creator Abigail Marquez, among others. The 15th Annual TOFA Awards is set to take place on October 18 in Las Vegas, with the awardees expected to grace the awarding ceremony.
