August 15 ------ Kapuso actress Gabbi Garcia recently visited Japan for her “first official solo trip,” and her solo travel led to unexpected discoveries.
Before the “Unbreak My Heart” actress opened up about her takeaways from her solo vacation abroad, she already uploaded snaps on Instagram from her first day in the Land of the Rising Sun.
Admittedly anxious about going solo — and in general, on the thought of “being alone” — the “Mga Lihim ni Urduja” star saw a worrisome endeavor transform into an “enlightening experience.” “Being alone in a different country has been an unexpectedly enlightening experience. Before this adventure, the idea of being alone used to worry me. I feared boredom, worrying, restlessness, and just being alone with my own thoughts,” she wrote in a follow-up post.
Garcia, who shares a food-centric YouTube channel with actor boyfriend Khalil Ramos, also shared how being by her lonesome “helped me discover parts of myself I didn’t know existed.”“It’s honestly mind-blowing how just being comfortable alone can open the door to such meaningful insights and a genuinely captivating adventure of getting to know yourself better,” said the actress, who is looking to have another go at solo traveling — and even encouraged others to do the same. She capped off her reflection on her new milestone by thanking “the sweetest Korean girls” who agreed to take her photo.
