
MANILA, March 10 ------ Filipinos in the Los Angeles county affected by the California wildfire are urged to apply for the Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA) until March 10. The program aims to provide aid for those who lost their jobs or had their work hours lessened due to the wildfires that raged across Los Angeles, California earlier this year.
Applicants are instructed to apply through the myEDD (UI Online) or call 1-866-395-1513 (Tagalog) for more information. Among the requirements are latest income tax return, pay stubs, and proof of business. Qualified applicants may receive $186 to $450 weekly for up to 26 weeks depending on their situation.
They may also visit the Disaster Recovery Centerspara in the following locations:

• UCLA Disaster Recovery Center (10850 W Pico Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90064)
