MANILA, February 27 ------ Last December, Chiu's co-host in ‘It’s Showtime,’ Vice Ganda, made a joke saying she has yet to consult a Feng Shiu expert to check her compatibility with Avelino. With the string of Chinese New Year festivities weeks back, Chiu was able to consult a Feng Shiu expert for her luck this year. But the expert also happened to be a KimPau fan and initiated to check her compatibility with Avelino. “Okay naman. Napa-Feng Shiu ko na, okay naman daw yung dragon at horse, sana magtuloy tuloy,” said Chiu. Avelino was born under the Year of the Dragon, while Chiu was born on the Year of the Horse. Asked if their signs are compatible, Chiu answered: "Oo!"
Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino welcomed ABS-CBN News to the set of their upcoming movie “My Love Will Make You Disappear” before they wrapped up their months-long shooting. Both lead actors said that the vibe on the set - from their co-actors, the staff and crew of the film - were light and easy to work with. “It feels like family, everyone is warm to each other so parang it’s the same thing, it gives the same vibes.” says Paulo.
For Avelino, it felt surreal that the shooting is almost over. “Feels kinda weird, we’ve been working on this project for quite a while na and hindi pa nagsisink in na last day namin,” he said. "Nakakatuwa na natapos namin yung movie, parang ngayon pa lang navivisualize mo na yung flow nung movie, nakabuo na kami ng bonding dito," Chiu said, for her part.
Exactly a month from now, the movie will hit cinemas in the Philippines and overseas. The excitement of their millions of fans can be felt with the fan-initiated efforts to promote the film, even prior to their back-to-back on ground and online promotions. "Ngayon ko lang naexperience itong massive support na parang, wala pa kaming poster reveal, may ginawa na silang poster sa likod ng tricycle, sa sari-sari stores, namimigay ng mga photocards. March 26 manood sila. 'Yung binibigay nilang support is something different, we’re very lucky na meron kaming ganung klaseng support," said Chiu.
