Emma Watson denies engagement, retirement rumors

MANILA, PHILIPPINES, May 19 ------ 'If I have news – I promise I’ll share it with you,' the 'Little Women' star says. Actress Emma Watson broke her social media silence on Monday, May 17 to deny circulating rumors that the former Harry Potter star was engaged or whether her career was "dormant or not." Emma, 31, addressed her fans on Twitter that these rumors were just "ways to create clicks each time they are revealed to be true or untrue."

"If I have news – I promise I’ll share it with you. In the mean time please assume no news from me just means I’m quietly spending the pandemic the way most people are – failing to make sourdough bread (!), caring for my loved ones and doing my best not to spread a virus that is still affecting so many people," the Little Women star wrote. "I am sending so much love to you, hoping you’re ok and as well and happy as you can be in these strange times. And again, thank you to everyone working so hard to keep us safe and well," she added.

Emma, who has kept a low profile both online and offline, posted her last tweet in August 2020. She was seen leaving a pharmacy in Los Angeles last week with boyfriend Leo Robinton. The pair went public with their relationship in April 2020. Emma was previously linked to Glee star Chord Overstreet, with whom she broke up with in 2018, and Silicon Valley manager William Mack Knight, whom she split with in 2017.
