Dwight Ramos going great guns for Hokkaido as Kai serves out ban

December 20 ------ DWIGHT Ramos continued to play exceptional basketball for Levanga Hokkaido, guiding the team to their third straight win in the ongoing Japan B.League season. The Gilas Pilipinas mainstay’s 19 points keyed Hokkaido to a 78-60 rout of Ibaraki Robots at Hokkai Kitayell. He also grabbed a pair of rebounds and assists to push his side up to a 9-13 card.

Ray Parks also helped Osaka Evessa bounce back with a 77-68 victory over Saga Ballooners at Ooikini Arena Maishima. He put up 12 points, two assists, and one rebound in his team's 12th win in 22 games. Kiefer Ravena also helped Yokohama B-Corsairs snap their four-game losing skid with a 93-77 conquest of Fighting Eagles Nagoya at Nagoya City Inaei Sports Center. The veteran guard recorded eight points, six assists, two rebounds, and two steals in the road win that improved the B-Corsair's record to 8-14.

AJ Edu had so-so numbers in Nagasaki Velca’s 77-73 escape of Shimane Susanoo Magic at Happiness Arena. He only had three points and three rebounds, but that couldn’t stop the home team from rising to 10-12. Unfortunately, Matthew Wright’s 21-point effort ended in another defeat for Kawasaki Brave Thunders, this time to Nagoya Diamond Dolphins, 95-84, at Dolphins Arena. This is now the eighth straight loss for Kawasaki, who remained near the bottom of the standings at 4-18.

Kai Sotto also served his one-game suspension from his ejection in the last game as Koshigaya Alphas fell to Utsunomiya Brex at Koshigaya City General Gymnasium. Without him, the hosts suffered their fourth straight loss to drop to 6-16.
