Dota 2: Blacklist Rivalry emerge victorious at Asia Pacific Predator League

MANILA, January 16 ------ Blacklist Rivalry asserted its mastery of Dota 2 after outclassing fellow Pinoy team Execration, 2-0, in the Asia Pacific Predator League finals at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City. Sometimes dubbed as the "Pinoy Redeem Team," the Abed Yusop-led squad lived up to Filipino fans' expectations after their undefeated run in the $100,000 tourney.

Game 1 looked like Blacklist was getting an easy win, but Execration still put up a fight despite Marc Polo Luis "Raven" Fausto claiming the Aegis of the Immortal and a massive gold lead on their side. Raven's Alchemist tried sieging the towers at the 29-minute mark, but the push ended in Blacklist's demise, where three of their members died in a clash. After getting another Aegis, Raven and Abed's Dragon Knight chipped their towers once more and won an encounter on the bottom side of Execration's base.

Raven claimed a monster kill streak and led to Blacklist forcing the GGs out of their rivals at 42:17. Abed had a 12-3-17 kill score, while Raven was dentless at 8-0-15 in that match. Kim "Gabbi" Santos put on a show in Game 2 – this time, it was him who had a perfect kill score at 4-0-13. Blacklist had a dual-carry lineup in the clinching match, with Gabbi choosing Naga Siren for himself and Raven on his classic Luna pick.

The game was closer this time, but the balance was tipped in a Roshan fight at around 31 minutes. Blacklist dispatched three Execration players on that skirmish; Gabbi even told Bob in the in-game all-chat "wag ka ma pressure." Bob only laughed back but unfortunately for his team, they failed to defend the high ground. Blacklist eventually claimed the title after a successful clash at the bottom side of the map. They nabbed the biggest share of the prize pool with $65,000 winnings in their bag.
