Dionela breaks records with chart-topping hit




August 24 ------ Singer-songwriter Dionela secures the number one spot on Spotify Philippines for an unprecedented seven straight weeks, making “Sining” a massive hit -- propelling his career to new heights. 

  

Dionela's latest single has climbed to the 60th on the Global Charts as of August 11, 2024. Not only does the song have an impressive 64,317,456 million total streams on Spotify as of this writing, but he also amassed a remarkable 7.7 million monthly listeners. That means, right now, he's the OPM artist with the most monthly listeners. His success isn't limited to just one platform. Dionela's latest track also claimed the top spot on Apple Music Philippines' Top 100 Charts. The official music video for “Sining,” which also marks Dionela's directorial debut, has earned 11,220,086 million views on YouTube as of this writing. Featuring veteran actor Joonee Gamboa and BINI member Stacey, the video is a showcase of Dionela's expanding artistic vision. 

  

A self-confessed romantic, Dionela draws much of his inspiration from the many fun, spontaneous moments he and his girlfriend, Meizy, who also serves as his muse, have shared. In fact, “Sining” is just one of many songs he wrote for her, alongside viral TikTok hits like “Musika,” “Oksihina,” and “Sugal.” All those tracks are poetic manifestations of his love for her, which have struck a chord within many. 

  

Dionela teamed up with OPM R&B icon Jay R for “Sining.” The song blends Dionela's modern vibe with Jay R's smooth vocals.
