February 23 ------ Days before the TV series finale, Dennis Trillo gave a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes moments of his last scene in “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” which he regards as one of the most significant projects he had been part of.
The actor received applause and cheers from his co-stars as well as the production team as he wrapped up filming his last scene as Simoun, as seen in a clip on his Instagram page.
Trillo was also commended for his effective portrayal by actress Carla Abellana and his “Maria Clara at Ibarra” co-stars David Licauco, Rocco Nacino, Julie Anne San Jose, Jon Lucas as well as Juancho Triviño. “Maria Clara at Ibarra,” which is based on the novels by Dr. Jose Rizal, revolves around its “El Filibusterismo” arc where Trillo’s Simoun vows revenge against the government.
