Dengue deaths in CL highest in Bulacan




MALOLOS, Philippines, February 26 ------ The province of Bulacan has the highest number of dengue fatalities reported in Central Luzon so far this year. The Department of Health (DOH)-Central Luzon said that from Jan. 1 to Feb. 15, Bulacan reported seven dengue fatalities followed by Nueva Ecija with four, Pampanga with two, and Bataan and Tarlac with one each. 

  

Among provinces in the region, Pampanga recorded the highest confirmed dengue cases with 938 followed by Bulacan with 856, Nueva Ecija with 347 and Tarlac with 342. Similar cases were reported in Aurora with 144; Bataan, 111 and Zambales, 42. The cities of Angeles and Olongapo recorded 89 and nine cases, respectively. 

  

Bulacan recorded the highest number of suspected cases with 1,888 followed by Pampanga, 786; Nueva Ecija, 637; Tarlac, 363; Bataan, 230; Angeles, 95; Zambales, 84; Olongapo, 82, and Aurora, 49.
