October 19 ------ Napapanood ang Filipino singer at artist na si Darren Espanto bilang isa sa hosts ng noontime variety show na It's Showtime. Sa naganap na press conference ng It's Showtime kamakailan, ibinahagi ni Darren na nabago ng programa ang kanyang karera mula nang maging isa sa hosts nito.
“Nine years old pa lang ako nung nanonood na ako ng Showtime, 15 years ago. To be [a] host now has really changed the trajectory of my career din po as well kasi nagsimula ako as a guest 'tapos, naging hurado, naging host. Parang naging parte na rin po ako ng Showtime family throughout the years. Parang lumaki na rin ako rito sa It's Showtime,” kuwento niya. Dagdag pa niya, “It's really a great way also to reach a wider audience po. That's how it changed my career.”
Sa isang video na inupload ng It's Showtime, may mensaheng hatid si Darren para sa Madlang People. "I just want to thank all of you for being with us for 15 years," aniya. Patuloy niya, "It's my first year as a host but ever since I was a kid, I've already been a part of you guys, the Showtime family. I'm so happy to be here and here's to another 15 years and many, many more years to come."
