MANILA, Philippines, April 16 ------ Creamline looks bent on claiming a volleyball crown after falling short in its recent campaign. The Creamline Cool Smashers maximized the three allotted slots for imports ahead of the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League, just days after settling for a runner-up finish in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference.

The 10-time PVL champions tapped  the services of multiple-time reinforcement Erica Staunton, Kazakh middle blocker Anastassiya Kolomoyets, and Russian wing spiker Anastasiya Kudryashova to beef up their roster for the regional club tournament that will be hosted by the Philippines from April 20 to 27 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City. Chemistry won’t be much of a problem as Kolomoyets and Kudryashova recently suited up together for VC Kuanysh in the Kazakhstan Women’s National League.

Kolomoyets is no stranger to the competition as VC Kuanysh reigned in the 2022 Asian Women’s Club Volleyball Championship, the forerunner of the upcoming competition. Aside from playing in Kazakhstan, Kudryashova also saw action in Russia, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, after suiting up for Penn State in the US NCAA Division I. Recently, the Cool Smashers also added firepower in their playmaking, by signing veteran setter Rhea Dimaculangan.

Creamline is one of three Filipino squads vying for the AVC championship, along with recently crowned All-Filipino Conference queens Petro Gazz Angels and the PLDT High Speed Hitters. Captained by Alyssa Valdez, the Cool Smashers are bunched in Pool A along with Kazakhstan’s Zhetsu, and Jordan’s Al Naser.
