Converge signs ex-Clipper as import

MANILA, Philippines, December 6 ------ The Converge FiberXers have tapped former Los Angeles Clipper Jamil Wilson as its new import, following a nightmarish start in the PBA Season 48 Commissioner’s Cup. The PBA said that Wilson was signed by Converge, which is currently the only winless team in the league so far. The American replaced New Zealand’s Tom Vodanovich as the team’s reinforcement.

Vodanovich averaged 20.8 points, 12. 4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.4 blocks per game in the five games he played for the FiberXers. In his final game for Converge on Saturday, against Phoenix, Vodanovich finished with 35 points, nine rebounds and three assists. His stellar game, however, was not enough, as they lost a heartbreaker, 98-99.

In the 2017-18 NBA season, Wilson played 15 games for the Clippers, starting in 10 of them. He also played in the NBA G-League, as well as leagues in Puerto Rico, Italy and Uruguay. The PBA also said that former JRU Bomber JL delos Santos has officially been signed by Converge. Delos Santos, who signed a contract with the team recently, was activated in lieu of Mac Tallo.
