February 13 ------ A new batch of young and empowered candidates competed for the Miss Supermodel Worldwide Philippines 2025 title at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City recently. Showing great physique and confidence, Charyzah Esparrago bagged the much-coveted title. The 26-year-old freelance English language teacher admitted she was surprised when her name was called as winner. "I felt really honored. But honestly, I was surprised every single time because every girl worked so hard so they’re all deserving. But best believe that when the sash was on me, I really felt all of the support and all of my hard work being recognized in that moment," Charyzah told media during the post-pageant interview.
Aside from the title, Charyzah won 12 other special awards including Best Speaker, Darling of the Press, Runway Supermodel, Charity Award, Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, and Best in Filipiñana. Asked as to why she bested the other contestants, Charyzah said, "I think it was just being in the moment. When I went on that stage, the only thing on my mind was: 'You are wearing a work of art, it is your job to deliver it' and deliver it, I hope I did. Up until they called my name, I was praying and hoping it was me. I’m really honored."
According to Charyzah joining modeling and pageants are both new to her. It will actually be the first time that she will be representing Philippines in a international pageant. "My title was Binibining Quezon City Karunungan. But other than that, I did Miss World Philippines where I got to the head to head challenge. So this is my fifth pageant but this is my first crown where I will be representing the Philippines. I am so excited for the international pageant to be here in the Philippines because this is an opportunity for our tourism. This is a great chance to showcase our local fashion designers, our creatives, our photographers, makeup artists, and hairstylists. They bring the beauty in beauty pageants and the art in modeling," Charyzah said. Angel Nocidal Laure of Antipolo, Rizal, was also crowned as the Miss Teen Supermodel. The runners-up are Doreen Ahuja of Pasay City (second runner-up) and Mher Karizze Narciso of Makati City (first runner-up).
