Catriona Gray honored to continue role as PH arts ambassador for the 6th year

February 6 ------ Catriona Gray shared that she would continue serving as an Arts Ambassador for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts for another year. "Halina’t maki-sining! National Arts Month 2025 is officially open! I'm so incredibly honored to be continuing as Arts Ambassador for the National Commission for Culture and the Arts for the 6th year," she said.

The former Miss Universe remarked that arts and culture "not only encapsulates our stories and traditions as a nation, but the act of creating and coming together to enjoy art feeds the soul." Catriona highlighted that she is happy that she is able to continue lending her voice and platform to share and showcase Filipino arts and culture. "Join @nccaofficial as we celebrate National Arts Month with the theme 'Ani ng Sining, Diwa at Damdamin,'" she said.

Fans online were quick to react to Catriona's post. "Hats off! Philippine's pride and now our cultural ambassador," one fan commented. "Congratulations po!! So prouddd!!" another fan wrote. Catriona was first appointed as an ambassador of the National Commission of Culture and Arts (NCCA) in January 2020. "Such an honor to be recognized as the 2020 Ambassador for the Arts by the Philippine National Commission of Culture and Arts @nccaofficial," she wrote back in 2020.

"I believe artists always create with intention. And in my pursuit to conquer my universe and to achieve my dream I sought to take the opportunity to celebrate our national Philippine heritage, art, history, textiles, music and dance to bring forth a newfound interest in Philippine Arts to the younger generation." She went on: "It brings me great pride to continue sharing our unique, Filipino heritage in the arts to my universal platform as it has become my advocacy, aside from advocating for education and HIV/AIDS, to advocate for love of country."

Catriona became an ambassador for the NCCA two years after being crowned Miss Universe.

In January 2024, Catriona became one of the awardees of Beacon of Culture and Arts by the Philippine LEAF Awards.
