Camille Prats on taking different roles of her life

July 28 ------ Actress Camille Prats has opened up about her struggles raising her children while juggling work and life.

In an episode of Luis Listens with TV host Luis Manzano, Camille said that she is thankful that her work as an actress and host allows her to be flexible in handling her time between work, children, and her husband. "Kailangan balanse na kasi mas importante sakin ang time ko with my children and family kaysa puro trabaho," she said.

With her children, who are going through puberty, Camille also talked about her struggles with having to understand the phase they are going through and says that she allows them to take the lead. "I can only encourage, and support and give the resources that he will need in order for him to achieve his dream pero hindi ko siya pwedeng diktahan," Prats stated.

Camille also shared her advice with her children, who are going through their teenage years, in regards to her love life. "At this point ang sinasabi ko sakanila ay you can be friends with girls but i don't encourage them to enter a relationship. Kasi they are not ready for it," she added. She also said she's really delighted and glad that she's still receiving job offers after she tied the knot to her husband, VJ Yambao who she is really thankful for, and a mother of her children.

The then-child star also stated that she is simply doing what she enjoys and is grateful that she still has tasks to work on. "Kasi for a time, nawala ako sa acting, napunta ako sa hosting, and I really loved it. Ang sarap makipag-usap, ang dami mong natutunan, ‘di ba, and at the same time, parang you just meet different kinds of people, and it’s teaching you how to be flexible," she said.

The actress remembered her father's advice for herself as well as for her brother, John Prats, while they were both just starting their careers in show business. Her father, she states, constantly reminded her and John how the field they work in is not about being famous but rather about their careers longevity.
