MANILA, March 21 ------ ABS-CBN’s BINI documentary made it to the shortlist of the 2025 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards for Best Documentary in the Biography and Profiles category. The shortlist, which is composed of various TV and film entries from around the world, was released by the organization on its official website.
Produced by iWant Originals and ABS-CBN News Documentaries, "BINI Chapter 1: Born to Win" follows the members of the Nation's Girl Group during the crucial days before "BINIverse," their three-night debut concert at the New Frontier Theater. The film also charts the journey of the 8-member group — from auditions to the pandemic, from mental health and personal struggles to their breakthrough success.
In a statement, ABS-CBN News Chief Francis Toral highlighted ABS-CBN’s return to documentary production. “This is such a meaningful return for the ABS-CBN Documentaries team. We are proud of Bini, and telling their story is an honor for us,” she said.
