BINI members launch donation drive amid 'Kristine' onslaught

MANILA, October 25 ------ Members of Nation’s Girl Group BINI shared personal updates about their families’ situations during the onslaught of severe tropical storm "Kristine." In light of the ongoing crisis, BINI has taken action to help those in need. Alongside their fanbase, Blooms, they have organized a donation drive under the initiative “BINIyanihan.”

The girls opened up in an interview after their performance at "It’s Showtime’s" Magpasikat 2024, where they expressed their concern for their families and for those affected, particularly in hard-hit areas.

Gwen, who hails from Albay, was visibly emotional as she spoke about her family’s experience. But sana maging okay na, better, and maging safe po lahat,” she said, adding that she has lost contact with some of her relatives due to power outages in certain areas of Bicol. Mikha, who is also from Bicol, shared her gratitude for her family’s safety while expressing deep concern for others. “My sister, mom, and dad are there right now. Kagaya po same situation kay Gwen. I heard a lot na sobrang taas na ng baha, but thankfully my family lives in higher areas na hindi umabot po 'yung baha. But for everyone else who are having a hard time, mag-ingat po,” she said.

Maloi, from Lemery, Batangas, mentioned how her relatives were also affected by the storm. Sheena, who is from Isabela, updated the group on her family’s status as well.
