March 28 ------ Girl group BINI has been named Women of the Year by the local arm of music magazine Billboard. The eight-piece act, managed by ABS-CBN, will accept the prestigious award at Women In Music: The Executive Edition on March 28, 2025, Billboard reported.
The report traced BINI's journey to success, from the viral hit of their single "Pantropiko" to their sold-out concerts. "The last year of Filipino music has been its most exciting yet and at the core of it all has been BINI," Billboard wrote.
Woman Of The Year is the biggest award at the Women In Music Awards, given to women who made significant contributions to the music industry and exemplify excellence, according to Billboard.
Composed of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena, BINI—dubbed as the "Nation's Girl Group—debuted in 2021 with the single "Born To Win." The group is set to embark on their "BINIverse" world tour, which kicked off at the Philippine Arena in February. It is set to make stops in Dubai, London and cities across North America.
