Bianca Gonzalez looks back on her 20th year of hosting

January 2 ------ Kapamilya host Bianca Gonzalez celebrated her 20th year as a television host in 2024. On her social media page, Bianca reflected on her journey hosting various shows over the past year. “2024 marks my 20th year as a television host wow. feels so surreal to even type that out. and what a way to celebrate my two decades,” Bianca wrote.

She also described 2024 as "one of the busiest years I've had on TV," juggling multiple programs as both a solo and co-host. “From co-hosting the final season for The Voice on ABS-CBN, to going on location to tape our specials for The B Side on Cinema One, to the grind of BRGY my daily talk show produced by TFC, to diving into the remarkable 11th season of Pinoy Big Brother, what a year it has been!!!!” Bianca added.

Though she faced challenges throughout the year, Bianca expressed gratitude for her journey. “It was a blessed year and also the most difficult, challenging, tiring year that pushed me out of my comfort zone. It has been an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding year, and I am forever grateful!” Bianca said. Looking back, she recalled how she first thought her hosting career would last only two to three years. “When I first hosted in the show Y-Speak in 2004, I thought, 'Wow, okay na raket itong hosting siguro mga 2 to 3 years.' Well. The universe had its own plans.. iba ka, Lord,” she added.

The Pinoy Big Brother host and alum also extended her gratitude to the people who helped her on her journey.  “Thank you ABS-CBN for trusting me and believing in me. Thank you Tito Boy, and Miss Weng and Lois for your encouragement and support. To the village that takes care of me, thank you!” Bianca exclaimed. She ended her message sharing what lesson she has learned in her two decades as a television show host. “If there's anything that 20 years of being a host has taught me, it's this: never stop learning, growing, and listening,” she remarked.

In June, Bianca also reflected on her hosting journey, recalling her early days as a co-host on the movie review talk show Review Night with actor-host Ryan Agoncillo. “I was finishing up college when I was given the incredible opportunity to be a host for Review Night on Cinema One, alongside THE Ryan Agoncillo. It was a movie review talk show, a dream come true of a dream I never even knew I had as a Comm major and aspiring filmmaker,” Bianca said in a post.

In 2024, Bianca also hosted two Kapamilya shows- The Voice Kids Philippines (season 5 on ABS-CBN) and Pinoy Big Brother Gen 11. She also debuted two new programs - The B-Side on Cinema One and BRGY on The Filipino Channel (TFC). "I can't thank my lucky stars enough that on my 20th year in the industry, I get to do a NEW SHOW again," the Kapamilya host previously posted. "At a time when there are less and less talk formats on TV, I feel honored to be given this opportunity. Taping days are SO challenging (ngl) but inspired ako to do better each time,” she added.
