March 24 ------ Beyond show business and entrepreneurship, Enchong Dee shared that one of his dreams is to become a philanthropist, with a particular focus on education. "Gusto ko talagang maging philanthropist. Gusto ko magpa-aral," he relayed in an interview in Eugene Domingo's YouTube vlog. He emphasized that education goes beyond the usual academic track, saying it can also involve vocational skills. "Minsan kasi 'yung akala lang nila na education 'yung kailangan mag-elementary, high school, college. It could be a different form of education na paga-aralin kita ng fishery, eco-tourism," he highlighted.
Enchong pointed out that this dream is one of the reasons he’s involved with the Academy of Rock, a music school. "I think this is a step also why we are in Academy of Rock. I am empowering the person," he relayed. He highlighted: "When a person is empowered, hindi ka pwedeng tapakan, hindi ka pwedeng insuluthin, because you are an empowered human being."
When asked how he defines success, the actor said it’s about finding peace within oneself. "When you are at peace with yourself, that's the success that I really, really try to attain every year. Parang wala naman akong kaaway, parang lahat naman chill naman, parang masaya na ako sa ganung klaseng buhay," he said. The actor added: "Nakaka-pagtravel tayo once in a while. Nakakakain tayo ng gusto nating kainin, usually masasarap, at nakakapag-share ka pa sa ibang tao. May relationship ka sa Panginoon mo, okay na ako dun." It was in 2021, when Enchong alongside fellow actor Joshua Garcia and other partners, reopened Academy of Rock Philippines. "It's been a dream to open up my own school," Enchong posted on Instagram back in 2021. "This is one of the few businesses that I will personally supervise to make sure that the quality of music education will be at par with our Singaporean counterpart." In the same interview, Enchong also recounted how he started his first business venture at the age of 21. The actor relayed that his first investment was a real estate property.
