MANILA, July 3 ------ Belle Mariano raised expectations on her upcoming sold-out birthday concert "BELIEVE", saying fans can anticipate "intense performances" that they had never seen from her yet during a press conference. Without giving away too many details, the actress-singer said she is undergoing a "strenuous training" to execute her surprises perfectly on July 13 at The Theatre at Solaire. "I said last time that you guys will be involved, so prepare yourselves. It's gonna be something very exciting. You'll see a side of me na hindi n'yo pa nakikita noon," she said.
The concert's producers complimented Mariano's grit shown in preparing the much-awaited performances, calling her "palaban" or a fighter. The "Can't Buy Me Love" star also revealed her guests, comprised of Moira Dela Torre, Donny Pangilinan, Martin Nievera, and Denise Julia. She shared that the versatility of these artists also represents the variations of her that fans could expect to see. "And actually, pahabol ko lang, we're actually working on one guest pa. Pero we're waiting for their confirmation. So hintayin natin 'yan, pasabog 'yon," she added.
Mariano also serves as the creative producer of her own concert, pouring all her ideas and efforts to innovate gimmicks that she herself never thought she could do. "We've been conceptualizing a lot... Actually, before I went in a vacation po last time, we've been conceptualizing even up to script, lahat po tinutukan... I always dreamed of being this involved sa concert ever since my Beloved concert," the recording artist said. Looking at her big preparations, she realized the show also helps her to believe in herself more — something that she also wants to impart to her audience. "I'll make the audience believe that anything is possible," Mariano emphasized.
The "Bugambilya" singer also took the opportunity to share snippets of her five new songs to the press, namely "Biglaan," "Pakisagot," "Little World Changer," "I, Save Me" and "Apelyido." These tracks are part of her upcoming album which was also entitled "Believe", dropping on July 5. Her music label Starpop said that the "Tanging Dahilan" vocalist had to choose only five from a pool of demo songs. Mariano said this was not easy and she even had to lay on ground just to feel which song could fully capture her heart. The Kapamilya actress also looked back to her humble beginning as a mere kid who just loved to sing in karaoke. She never expected that she would be able to sing and share her own music in big venues like Solaire's The Theatre. "I used to sing in videoke with my lolo, and it feels like I'm not just fulfilling my dream, I'm also fulfilling his," she highlighted in a nostalgic tone.
