MANILA, Philippines, February 13 ------ Seventy-four overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) have returned home from Lebanon, according to the Department of Migrant Workers.
The DMW said the OFWs arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on a Qatar Airways flight on Tuesday. The OFWs were among those who voluntarily availed themselves of the government’s repatriation program. The DMW said 1,564 OFWs and 65 dependents have been repatriated from Lebanon since the start of the Israel-Hamas conflict in October 2023.
The returning Filipino workers will receive livelihood assistance, according to the DMW.
