New POEA Contract Effective April 7, 2013

Effective April 7, 2013, the Philippines Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) will implement its new Standard Contract of Employment in compliance to MLC 2006.

The new POEA Contract will now include the following:

1.    Seafarer’s date of birth and place of birth,
2.    Shipowner’s address; and
3.    Reference to collective bargaining agreement (CBA).
