Gerald Anderson quotes lines about ‘surviving a storm’ as he shares new photos

August 13 ------ After completing his three-day soldier training at Camp Tecson in the town of San Miguel, Bulacan, Gerald Anderson shared what seems to be behind-the-scene photos from his upcoming teleserye A Soldier’s Heart.  Wearing an army uniform with the name Marasigan patched on it, the photos show the actor going through rigid physical exercises in the military.  Anderson also quoted a few lines from the 2002 novel Kafka on the Shore by Japanese author Haruki Murakami.  The lines, which send a motivational message about ‘surviving a storm,’ seems to hint a reflection of some sort for Gerald, who himself is currently going through controversies regarding his love life.

“Once the storm is over you won't remember how you made it through, how you manage to survive. You won't even be sure, in fact, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm's all about,” he wrote.  In an interview with PUSH and other entertainment press last August 11, Anderson shared that his military training helped him have a more positive outlook in life.  “Better! Better now, malaking bagay ‘yung training, malaking bagay na nalagay sa perspective ‘yung mga bagay-bagay,” he said.  He then went on: “Sa dami ng negativity alangan naman na maging negative pati ako ‘di ba? The only way to fight negativity is to be positive and with positive thinking, positive vibes and doing something positive also. Syempre madami ng negative energy and when you channel that in a right way, may magagawa kang mabuti. So ang goal ko, to come out a better man, better person.”

Fans can recall that Gerald Anderson has been embroiled recently in a controversy after his ex-girlfriend Bea Alonzo sparked a 'cheating' issue which eventually dragged Julia Barretto into the narrative.  He later on clarified that there was no third party involved, adding that he had a big fight with Bea, which resulted in a conflict in their relationship.  Gerald Anderson has been conferred with a Philippine Scout Ranger title recently alongside his fellow A Soldier’s Heart cast members Yves Flores, Nash Aguas, Elmo Magalona, and Jerome Ponce.
