BB Gandanghari guest-stars in Netflix series ‘Glow’

August 13 ------ BB Gandanghari guest-starred in a recent episode of the Netflix comedy series “Glow”, about women’s professional wrestling. “I am grateful and thankful to be a part of this super successful show, GLOW!” Gandanghari said in her Instagram post today, Aug. 12. She portrayed the role of Patricia, as seen in her series of photos in said post. Patricia is a fortune teller who shares a scene with Ruth Wilder (played by Alison Brie), a main character in the production. Gandanghari appeared in the eighth episode of the program’s third season entitled “Keep Ridin'”. Guest stars included veteran Hollywood actress Geena Davis (“Thelma and Louise”, “The Fly”, “A League of Their Own”.)

“Booking a job is always exciting but booking your favorite show brings the excitement to an entirely different level,” she stated. She also took the time to thank her fans who were surprised at seeing her in the series. She then thanked The Brogan Agency for helping her get the role. Prior to appearing in the said show, Gandanghari had faced challenges in the United States. In January 2018, she admitted to facing discrimination as a transgender woman when applying for jobs.

Gandanghari legally became a woman after her petition to change her name and gender was approved by the Superior Court of California back in 2016. Previously, her younger brother Robin Padilla revealed that Gandanghari was trying to make ends meet by being an Uber driver, but gave the assurance that she was doing well. Gandanghari’s latest showbiz project in the Philippines was starring in the ?2015 TV series “21/2 Daddies” alongside her brothers Robin and Rommel Padilla.
