Wreath Laying Ceremony Honors Capt. Oca

June 4, 2012 – A Wreath Laying Ceremony in honor of Capt. Gregorio S. Oca was held at his monument in the grounds of the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP).  MAAP President, VAdm. Eduardo Ma. R. Santos, AFP (Ret.) led dignitaries in paying tribute to Capt. Oca, well considered as one of the pillars of the Philippine Maritime Industry.

All Japan Seaman’s Union (JSU) General Director for International Affairs Bureau, Mr. Yasumi Morita, Philippine-Japan Manning Consultative Council (PJMCC) President, Mr. Eduardo U. Manese and Associated Marine Officers’ and Seamen’s Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP) President, Dr. Conrado F. Oca paid their respects to the late Capt. Oca.  It was a drizzly morning, yet the solemn ceremony proceeded to honor one of the modern Filipino heroes of our time.
